Lightbulb I hate having to walk around my pet to fight!

When ever i'm in a fight and i kill one baddie and i click on the next baddie, my pet will often get in the way so my character will stand there while i get pummeled. now sure this is hysterical, but extremely annoying, why not make it so you can walk through your pet like you can with other players. or make it so that the pet moves with you to attack.

I second this. I've taken R as my secondary and I love having the m's stalker, but getting stuck on him literally EVERY time I try and attack another enemy is getting really old, really fast. Each time this happens I have to click on the groudnd elsewhere and then attack the monster, otherwise the cat and I are just "embedded" in each other.

This is also a huge problem for me. My melandru Stalker is always getting in my way. I press C then Space to attack and i just stand there. He doesn't move out of my way until i move back or foreword. But this whole time i am taking damage and my pet also.

A possible fix would be to just get rid of collision detection with your pet. That way you could walk through him and never be stuck. It isn't even that major of a bug, and hopefully will be an easy fix. Thanks!

agreed,

i've died several times because of my pet being in my way

removing the collision detection on the pet would be the best approach.

YES I hate it, it happens every combat. It has gotten to the point where I have been seriously considering not even bringing my pet anymore. When you are mobbed by Tengu and the *@#@*% pet stands there in your way like a damned roadblock it just makes you want to kill your pet.

Hasn't this been posted before :O? If it hasn't, I'm shocked!

But yes, remove collision barrier with the pet, or make it shift out of my way damned fast.

Yes. My cat gets in the way. And if Gwen is with me I sometimes get stuck in a corner with her and the cat refusing to move. I finally gave up and zapped to town.

Right, I'm getting damned pissed off at this stupid collision detection in pets. I don't want any half assed fix like making the pet move quicker, moving the pet, or making the pet smarter. I want the collision detection removed, and I want it removed now. For the good of all the gamers that play this game, remove pet collision by the next patch. I'm fed up of dying thanks to being trapped in by 1, 2, or even 6 pets.

I'm a damned ranger, I shouldn't even be near the melee fighting pets, so I dread to think what the heck it's like for warriors and othe melee artists.

I don't just "want" pet colision detection remove, I damn well demand it. And I demand it now.

I got stuck last night walking down a river and walked too close to some rocks, cat walked right up behind me and penned me in. As if that wasn't enough, Gwen had to keep dancing around us. I had no choice but to pull out the map and gate to a city to get out of it.

I'd hate to think what would have happened if I was fighting something at the time.

I second removing pet collision! Quite frustrating when a party member's damn pet gets in the way, gah! I'm not one for animal cruelty but sometimes i wish there was a /kick emote just to get the damn cat outa my way o_x*twitch*

I'm a W/R and yes, it happens all the time: at least once per three or four enemies if not more.

while we are getting rid of collision detection on pets can we have the enemies stop damaging me? i find it very frustrating and i die all the time from it.

Its probably not going to be removed. Besides, your enemies get stopped by your pet just the same as you do. I've had NPC monsters get blocked by my pet so I could pick them off from a distance, and in PvP pets help by getting in the way of your enemy players.

While it is annoying when you run into them, it just wouldn't make sense if they were the only things you could walk through.

You should see how bad it gets when you've got 8 Undead Minions. YOu can barely move without tripping over them hehe

I agree with the pet collision - their movement towards the called target is too slow in respect to the pathing. Hence, you pick a target, your character tries to move but your pet hasn't gotten word of what your target is. Yes, the pet should be non-collision detected or react a little quicker. I'd prefer collision detection to remain on because they block everything at the moment.

Instead of taking off collision on pets/minions, we should be asking for improved AI and even some simple controls for our pets/minions. I think my pet is a little slow to react at times, seems he doesn't go after a target until my first attack hits it. Shooting off an arrow can take a second or two, and when it does hit my pet has to run all the way over there to start attacking. So he doesn't come into play for a little while.

I wouldn't mind this if I had a way to send my pet in to attack in a more direct way. Something like calling a target (Ctrl+Space), only it would only affect pets. Would love to send my pet in first so the agro goes on them. Another control that might be useful is a way to call the pet back to you.

Better AI would make the game more enjoyable. It would also make pets more useful.
